I am so sick of snow. We've had three storms in the past weeks. I hate it. Being stuck indoors, having to drive on icy, slushy roads, not to mention the cold. What I would give to be somewhere tropical right now.

I went to see Blood Diamonds yesterday. I have to say I was very surprised. It was a big eye-opener. I knew Africa had it's share of problems, but I had no idea of the brutality and inhumanity. Entire villages killed and burned, over something Americans take for granted. I will definitely thing twice before ever purchasing a diamond.

After the movie I had a very interesting conversation with my friend Victor. We got on the discussion and of movies and started talking about The Da Vinci Code, and all the conspiracy and such the book brought up. We discussed our varying opinions on religion, and what life is all about. It was very intellectually stimulating.

I spent my entire day off yesterday working on a bunch of photoshop stuff. It's amazing how the hours just melt away when I do that. This is some of what I came up with.

I can't believe it's already the beginning of another year. Sadly, I didn't do a single thing to usher it in. All-in-all, 2006 was a pretty good year. Experimented with living on my own for a while, forging a relationship with my roommate that will last forever. I miss her. I quit putting up with all of the crap I was dealing with at my job at CSU and started working at Office Depot. While things still aren't great, they are a million times better. The pay is better, I am appreciated and respected, and my work is valued. I managed a 4.0 in school for the entire year, while working full-time. My relationship with my mom has also improved dramatically, which I am so greatful for. I was able to finally get ahead financially, and instead of having to worry about money, have been able to get a lot of the things I've been wanting for a really long time. Looking back, 2006 was actually a really great. Here's to hoping 2007 continues to get better!

For the past few years, I've really started getting into graphic design. Photoshop is one of my favorite past times. I've done all kinds of various art projects, as well as created a prototype magazine. But hardly anyone sees it, because I don't know how to show it. So I've decided to turn my livejournal into my online portfolio. Along with trying to update regularly, I'm going to post some of my past and present works. Just for fun.

The name of the magazine is Fetch, the word Gretchen from Mean Girls uses and is immediately shot down.

A few days ago I bought tickets to the Christina Aguilera concert, so I created an edition based around her.

Random Thoughts

Laundry is my least favorite thing to do in the world. No challenge.

I can't believe Britney Spears is pregnant again. How lame.

There is some hot music out right now. Including, but not limited to:
Unfaithful - Rihanna
Miss New Booty - Bubba Sparxx
Buttons - Pussycat Dolls
Promiscuous Girl - Nelly Furtado

With no one to IM, the internet is quite dull.

Myspace isn't what it used to be.

The Real World starts filming in Denver this month. I haven't watched in years, but I'm oddly intrigued.

I can't wait to go on my road trip with sunkissedjo and npinkerton33 this summer. August, please hurry.

I can't decide if I want to read the book first or watch the Da Vinci Code when it comes out Friday.

What happened to J.Lo? She like disappeared from the face of the earth.

I really want to see Madonna's tour when it comes. How gay of me, I know.

Would I use an iPod enough if I were to get one? For $300, I think I'd find time.

Being back home is weird, but so is having money in my checking account.

Does my life revolve around pop culture? One would think so considering all my random thoughts do. How sad.

There should be a way to service Gaydar to fine-tune it. That would come in handy daily.

It's nice to be writing in here again. But now it's time for bed. Goodnight
